Sintered Bronze Filter

Tiny spherical particles using the sintering technique are used as a bond to create the required structure. These particles are made of bronze, also known as brass material. Lufil is one of the trusted suppliers of sintered bronze filters in India. These tiny sintered powder elements are made in such a way so that the air can easily pass through the structure and the pollutant gets easily trapped in the bonded structure.

Need of Sintered Bronze Element

Mainly these elements are used in pneumatic, liquid, and gas filtration applications due to their better cleaning efficiency. Sintered bronze cartridges provide more filtration compared to any other type of filter. They trap dirt particles up to 0.2 microns, which gives them an edge over other elements. They can be used multiple times after cleaning, unlike other sintered PP or ceramic candles.

Process of making different sizes and micron elements

The size of bronze particles depends upon the required micron rating. As the micron rating became fine, the sizes of particles were reduced accordingly. These particles are compressed and at the same time heated at a controlled temperature to form the required structure. The process of compression and heating is most important as any error can cause breakage in the structure. Breakage in structure can lead to leakage which affects filtration efficiency.

Different Types of cleaning methods used

  1. Standard Cleaning
    • In this method, water is used as a cleaning agent. Pressurized water is applied to clean bronze elements. Water helps to remove dirt from the inner side then compressed air is applied to make them dry for reuse.

  2. Ultrasonic Cleaning
    • In this process, ultrasonic cleansers are used to purify the bronze cartridges. Cartridges are dipped into the cleanser and the whole process takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes for cleaning.
