In various industries, air is used as their primary source of energy to operate. To create such pressurized air compressors are being used. During this process, the air comes in contact with the pollutants which are present in the environment. This pollutant contains dust particles, oil mist, and moisture with them. It becomes necessary to eliminate them before they get inside the system. To solve such problems filter assemblies are being placed after the compressor also known as Compressed Air Filter Assemblies. These filter assemblies consist of filters inside them for cleaning unfiltered gases, known as Compressed Air Filter Elements. These filters help to capture all types of contamination present in the air and remove them before they enter the mainstream. Capturing those unwanted dust provides a higher lifecycle for pneumatic equipment.
Contaminants like air dust can cause a blockage of flow in the streamline; also it can cause wear and tear in machine-sensitive parts. Similarly, tiny oil droplets present in the atmosphere also known as oil mist lead to equipment failure. It can increase sticky residues inside valves and pipelines, reducing airflow and efficiency. Oil deposits can cover the internal surface of pneumatic tools leading to sluggish operation and premature wear.
Pre-filter is the first stage of air filtration. They are used to capture higher-micron dirt particles present in the atmosphere. These pre-filter assemblies are capable of capturing dirt up to 1 micron with 95% efficiency. These cartridges capture solid dust to increase the life of the system. These assemblies are essential in compressed air, HVAC, and hydraulic systems.
After filters are designed to remove smaller contaminants like medium-sized dust and oil mist from air or fluid systems. They provide a high filtration efficiency of 99% and are capable of removing dirt up to 0.1 microns. They protect sensitive equipment and improve overall system performance. These filters are commonly used in compressed air, hydraulic, and industrial filtration applications.
Fine filters are installed in the system after pre and after filters. They help to capture more fine dust and other microscopic particles that pass through pre and after filters. These cartridges help to achieve a higher grade of filtration with an efficiency of 99.99%. By using such filters it is possible to remove contamination up to 0.01 microns.
These filter assemblies are placed at the end of the system. The aim of using such filters is to remove hydrocarbon odor from the air after removing dirt from it. To achieve the required result activated carbon media is used to provide the best result.
This is the most common and widely used design in many industries. These cartridges are mostly used for filter assemblies which require less filtration area. It consists of multiple layers of fiberglass media in a wrapped design. Using such filters helps to provide constant airflow at the lowest pressure drop, even in the harshest working conditions. Mostly this design of elements is used when there is a high amount of moisture and oil mist present in the atmosphere. Compared to other designs they are the most economical type of elements.
To capture large amounts of solid particles present in the environment this design is used to manufacture filters. In this design, fiberglass media is to be pleated to increase the surface area of the element. Due to this pleats consist of almost 5 times the filtration area compared to the wrap design. They are effective and mostly used in higher sized systems to provide better filtration efficiency. They are also capable enough to withstand a higher pressure range of up to 40 bar.
Activated carbon is used as a filter media to manufacture these filters. These elements are generally placed at the end of the filtration assemblies. The main objective of using these filters is to capture oil vapors, odors, and gaseous contaminants from compressed air systems.
Our filter cartridges are made using high-grade imported fiberglass media. These filter cartridges provide a higher filtration area and better filtration efficiency. LUFIL compressed air filter cartridges help remove contamination up to 0.01 microns. We have a wide range of filter media grades available for different grades of cartridges. These air cartridges are more cost-effective compared to others.
